Lia couldn't help it -- the second she saw Naia's hand close around the snitch, she shrieked. Laughing giddily, she flew back towards the ground where the rest of the team was congregating.

"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, we did it!" she cried, throwing her arms around her best friend first thing. "You were fantastic!, that was amazing!"

Then she turned to Derek. "Can you believe it?" she said, grinning as she gave him a huge hug as well.

To say Derek was excited...wouldn't even BEGIN to cover it. They'd WON. They'd won BIG and kicked Tobias' ass THOROUGHLY. Alright, so that probably shouldn't have been Derek's entire motivation for this game- and it wasn't- but it was a pretty big chunk of it.

Derek had hardly believed it when Naia finally caught the snitch. They'd WON! Finally. He barely remembered landing to join his team but he did know he'd gone straight to Hannah and stolen an ecstatic kiss.

This? Was the best day ever.

"Can you believe it?"

Derek turned to Lia and gave her a crazy big hug back. "Holy MERLIN, we won! That was incredible!" The whole team had done SO WELL. Derek didn't even know where to start.

Lia couldn't decide if she was going to scream again, or if she was just going to start laughing uncontrollably, or if she was going to start crying.

Okay, so, maybe all three.

"I know, I know! Everyone was just...it was...everyone was so fantastic," she gushed somewhat incoherently. "And the littles! They were amazing!" She grinned at their two younger chasers. She still couldn't believe Ruth Ann had scored twice.
