Cole sat in the stands. He had his Slytherin scarf wrapped around his neck. He was warm and toasty in the brisk Fall air. He waved his Slytherin banner. "GO SLYTHERIN!" he shouted. He looked very much a like a 5 year old at the Quidditch World Cup, but he was enjoying himself. That's what counted.

Olivia was freezing. Not wearing a coat out today was not the most intelligent idea she had ever had. Now she was definitely paying for it, shivering as she sat down next to Cole. "Yeah, go Slytherin!" She said, minus any enthusiasm whatsoever.

Cole gave Olivia a sideways glance. "Everything alright, Olivia?" he asked her, absently waving his banner. "You seem... upset." He looked thoughtful for a moment, then turned his attention back to the game.

Technically, Lia wasn't really supposed to be taking sides here. After all, she wasn't playing, and she should probably just be hoping that neither team scored much. It would make their job much easier once Ravenclaw started playing for the cup.
Not so technically, she knew that she should probably be rooting for Slytherin, even if she did so very, very quietly. And a Slytherin win would probably mean a slightly happier date for the ball tonight, which...definitely a positive. She sat down in the stands and wrapped her scarf more tightly around her neck, hoping the match would be relatively short.

It was a QUIDDITCH DAY. Derek was focusing on that right now and not the fact that it was one day until the ball (which he was no longer going to) and Hannah's birthday (which was no longer his concern because they weren't dating). Or something. But it was the opening game of Quidditch so what wasn't there to be excited about?
Derek was determined to enjoy today and not think about other things so that's what he was here doing. Besides, there was competition to be sized up. Captain hat on. And look, Lia was already here. Derek smiled and plunked down next to his Assistant Captain. "Hey. You think it would be wrong if I hexed Tobias when he wasn't looking?" Nothing like taking things out on Tobias to raise Derek's mood. Okay, that had yet to work well ever but it still SOUNDED like a good idea.

Lia barely held back a laugh. "Hey," she said, greeting Derek with a smile. "It's probably only a little bit wrong, but only because if you got caught they might not let you play or something for our first match." She didn't think she needed to add that, without Derek playing, they'd have a disaster on their hands, and quickly. "I mean, he probably deserves it."
