okay so FIRST. i'm linking all the lists i can find here.
THEN maybe we can decide if they should really be there? Or if they can be merged? You know, stuff like that. FINALLY we can make a public post for easy access; possibly like what crystal did as a post on top of all the other posts?

Oh, hey! Do you want to post your new shiny Contact List for players up in Dumble's journal? The old one that I stumbled on a few weeks back and started to play with is here but then I remembered you have the new one and I left it alone XD You can erase that and put the new table in or make a new post entirely and delete that. Let me know when it's up and I'll add it into user info links.

I think a lot of these can be condensed, tossed or...something. And I was thinking I had a pretty solid collection up in all of the user infos. Sheesh.

I think what would make it handy would be to either revise the original posts to combine some of the lists we want to keep (for example, within np_professor link both things anyone would go looking for there or in np_dumbledore, make one reference post linking all of the others within his journal that hold things).

The old house listings I didn't even remember we had. We definitely don't need those now that our student roster is divided by houses. See, things like that can/will clean up a lot of the appearance of clutter once we wade through it. It's kind of late and I'm not going to jump into the rest right now but I'll help figure more out this weekend.

i also think some needs to move.
like the age list to cartographer since it's EVERYONE and not hogwarts. so it's silly to be on dumbles.

I'd say concentrate on Destiny's post of awesome, because even though it's out of date, it was a good idea that really should be moved to a more modly site.

Useful for finding out who's related to whom, who has relatives that could be related to someone, and who has relatives that could be played. Out of date, since it has old characters on it, but still interesting?

Okay, I had this posted yesterday and the LJ ate it so. I went through everything above and this is what I see that needs to be done.

The Google lists
I think these were awesome when they were made but I don't know if anyone actually uses them and updating and linking to something outside of LJ seems like more trouble than anything else to me. I could be wrong. If we want to keep this stuff, I say we move it to a journal and updatate.

Most of these are fine and already linked and updated so if I don't mention a link, that's why.
-Prefect list and schedules needs to be updated, it can either stay it's own post and be linked or I say just throw it in as another set of tables in the Student Rosters, maybe at the top of the page
-Career list needs updating (remove dropped chars)
-Age Listing needs updating (remove dropped chars)
-delete the old house listing and the adult/prof/staff list because they're in the current linked and updated rosters already

yeah what i'd really like is for any of those important lists to move out of chatter and into an official journal.

i'm for having one official classifieds post. i think it makes sense in chatter as well but i'm worried about it getting lost in there? i guess as long as we link it... definitely repost and start anew though.

also i'd love to move the class schedules and anything "class" related to np_professor and try to make np_dumbledore more of a mod played character and less of a "place to put stuff"

That all makes sense. We could move all of the important lists to Officials, I suppose, the upside being that reposting means people will be reminded of all the resources and awesome lists we DO have. I kind of like things being in Dumbledore's journal and having Officials be mod stuff but if people think it makes more sense to put stuff there, I'll go for it. Dumbledore just seems like a good place for lists since...he's headmaster. *shrugs*

When we're done with all of that- and I can do some cleaing and linking later today- we can spruce up the Reference Post of ALL that's in Dumbledore's journal. I think the plan when that originally went up was to have every link anyone might want in one place like we're sort of discussing now so there's no reason not to use it and have it done with.

Now I have to run and do laundry. *salutes smartly and leaves*
