EYE OF NEWT WORLD TOUR POSTPONED
by Lulu Sparkles
Letüse Liaf, lead singer of the band Eye of Newt - made famous over the Wizarding Wireless Network for their toe-tapping song “This Charming Wizard” - today confessed in a tell-all exposé with Witch Weekly about the pressures of being famous in the Wizarding world.
“My hair fell out.” He sobbed, revealing that his six-week retreat was a retreat of shame, the glamour charms taking their toll. “I looked hideous!”
Despite this setback, Letüse - known to fans as Letty - has confirmed that Eye of Newt will be back and performing in no time, with their eye on cracking the international wizarding market.

DUMBLEDORE ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR SCHOOL DANCE
by Racine Foliander
Albus Dumbledore announced plans today that the school will be holding a spring dance. The event will take place only 4 months after the attack of the Halloween Ball that led to the death of 12 year old Charlie Carlyle.
Many parents are concerned about their children's safety especially due to the most recent incident that sent Professor Corvus Sylvester to St. Mungos as well as two unnamed students that suffered minor injuries. Dumbledore addressed this concern by stating that "presence of trained aurors as well as our fine staff" will keep the students safe.

KESTRALS WIN PALMER CUP
by Richard Kendrick
Not even muggle riots could've stopped the beautiful game being played this April Fool's day! With heightened security and a shiny new stadium to play in, the Kenmare Kestrals and Puddlemere Utd both knew that this was going to be special. The Palmer Cup Final. Winners go to Europe to take part in the Thornton League, which is to be held in Madrid this year.
But today was all about the Palmer final and the fans were ready for something amazing! This match will be remembered as another famous battle between these two popular sides!
Puddlemere were defending champions at the beginning of the day, the team was led out by none other than Bill DeMott. He returned to the team last year and aimed to make it two in a row for the Puddlemere side! Cillian McMahon led the Kestrals out to the great delight of the fans. This is his first year as Kenmare captain, was he up to the challenge? The game was fast paced the entire way through, with some lovely scores from both sides. Dunne for the Kestrals and Pierce for Puddlemere were both unfortunate to be knocked from their brooms early on. Dunne is said to have suffered a broken hip, Pierce however rejoined the game almost immediately. The game continued, scoreline stayed close as each goal seemed to be immediately countered. Despite being a man down, the young Kestrals side fought and scratched their way to victory with Rory Mooney winning the snitch on the 101st minute of the game.
Kestrals are going to Europe! Final score: Puddlemere: 460 Kenmare: 500

HOGWARTS REFORMATION NEXT YEAR??
by Phylis Dylis
Scandal has rocked the core of the Ministry today with suggestions made by radical pureblood activists that there needs to be a vetting procedure installed when it comes to Muggleborn students at Hogwarts. Research conducted by the group has shown that more and more Muggleborns are being enrolled each year, with no quality control.
Of course there is no public record of this division at the Ministry.

WEREWOLVES BEING BREED BY MINISTRY
by Linel Flaherty
The recent news of the Werewolf attack at Hogwarts School of Wizardry was no surprise to the readers following the increase in werewolf activity. Of course the Ministry has declined to comment on the increase but it leaves much open to debate as to why the Ministry hasn't taken action.
It would make sense that they are using werewolves as assassins. Turning average wizards into werewolves and then letting them loose on the intended target to conceal their real agenda. Of course only the next full moon on April 18 will show the evidence of this.
