I totally agree with you on 1 and 5, And even though I always liked Jo, she needs to stay dead, simply for the fact that her death, and Ellen's, in some strange warped way, has made the boys stronger in the fight. And unless I forgot something, Talia didn't die - she went back to Earth after she was uncovered as a "sleeper".

Talia died. Having someone else in her body doesn't make her any less dead. They were quite clear that Control wasn't her.

I should add that resurrecting Ben would have been relatively easy, other than the computer wizardry necessary for scenes with two Jensens. Zack shot himself in the head and Manticore revived him, Ben only had a broken neck.
