Okay, first. Alfred. I was waiting for Alfred to show up, in fact, I've been telling juana_a a few days ago, that if he doesn't show up soon I'll pout at you until he does. And he's perfect, caring about Bruce, and hoping, but the camaraderie that's Bruce&Alfred is gone, the easy manner is gone, it's heartbreaking ( ... )

Omg, Christmas has thrown all my writing/commenting/reading out the window, gah! Thank you for your great response, I'm glad you liked Alfred (and there will be more from him, though I'm not sure how much). I like to include a lot of different facets in my stories, because I think it really is important to build the world as well as the potential Gordon/Wayne interactions!

And Jim is walking that same fine line he always has between good man and dead man. ^^ He's totally operating on the philosophy of, if you give a mouse a cookie...

The kiss is a first step, no doubt. :D I WILL see these two men resolved to SOMETHING, even if I'm not sure to what yet. Thank you so much for giving such great comments and letting me know what you think, I really appreciate the time you put into responding!

And, ahem, by the way, looking forward to the third installment of your series also.. :)

I'm glad you liked the long chapter, I got to the end and was like, jeez, should I cut it short, but no, it fit too well. I'm so sorry about the update, I meant to have it out a day or two after as an early holiday thing, but Christmas has eaten up my time like nothing else... -.-

I truly love developing characters, providing the insight you mentioned, so for me, that really is the crux of the story, the romance is almost secondary to these two men discovery themselves and each other.

Don't worry, I won't leave these two lovely men cold. Now that some lines have been drawn, hopefully they can begin to meet on a level of respect they didn't have before.. :)
