Plan [42] : Orange Ball of Love

People, people, calm down. It's just a color, right? While not the ... first I'd have chosen, I think it's quite a bit better than some of the things we've gone through. Ladies and gentlemen, considering our flighty guests have returned, do watch out for tiny flying creatures with ribbons. Of course they're only coming to make you look nicer, ( Read more... )

the godfather, attack of the pixies, not so bad, stella's a mom, stop with the furfur already, new feathers

Getting a pair of wings is not as horrifying as them turning pink.

Furfur? It's the kind of creature you turned into during the fur-event, yes?

Oh, don't you start in on it, too. If after all we've suffered, people can complain about something as trivial as this ... well, I suppose it means our morale isn't that far gone.

That would be the case. Something to remember it by, it seems.

Sarcasm, Caesar. I have wings on my back, I don't care what color they are.

Curious creatures.

A trait that carries poorly in writing, I'm afraid. However, if it makes you feel better, that was the tack I was employing as well. It's good to know someone has a lick of sense in them. Besides, I like your wings, no matter what color they might be.

If by curious you mean obnoxious and entirely unsavory, then I agree wholeheartedly.

Furfur... yes, that does sound familiar.

Honestly, I wish that people would stop complaining about it. It is not as if this is the worst thing that's ever happened to them here.

It should. You seemed rather intent on batting it out of the air for a short while, Professor.

Agreed. I suppose if we've got the energy to do so, we've not been beaten down that hard.

... Haha. So I did.

Still, it's preposterous how most of them are acting. I'm honestly surprised we haven't had our friendly neighborhood robot telling everyone to get over it yet. For the first time I might be inclined to agree with him.

Perhaps he's otherwise occupied.

Not that that's a particularly reassuring thing.

It may not be the worst thing, no. But it is...extremely unpleasant.

Ah, but temporary. I'd much rather an undignified hue to my feathers than having something intent on removing them by force.

That is true...Perhaps I value my pride a bit too highly.

Yes.

They didn't by chance send you a lizard, did they?

A ... rather irritating happening. One of the Malnosso's experiments involved turning the citizens of Luceti into animals, both common and native to their own worlds. I spent a few days masquerading as a stubby-legged cat. And, uh, then a furfur.

I was unamused, as you can imagine.

My my...such a fitting creature...given your hair, Caesar.

...

...I'm sure they felt the same way.

Still ... a furfur.
