Getting caught up...

To get caught up on a whirlwind week and a half:

I flew to Atlanta to visit. It was a good trip. ( Going through security, I ran into a little difficulty. )

future, travel

Are your bathrooms right through the door? Ours nonstop smells like... bathroom, only worse. Like someone was very ill. And it's contagious. And growing.

Also, our backroom is about the size of a nano. Seriously, it's claustrophobia-inducing. That doesn't help the stench control. We got one of those Air-Wick automatic smelly thingies, but it's way above the door so I doubt it gets replaced as much as necessary.

Yeah, our bathrooms are completely on the other side of the store.

Our BOH is pretty big (based on what everyone from other stores says when they see it).

Oh, and security at ATL? Did not make me take off my shoes.

Funny about that, innit? Apparently Logan is still working off the guilt of 9/11 - "We're sorry the terrorists took off from here, okay?" Because no other airport even approaches the paranoia of Logan, I suspect this is what's going on.

Maybe he thought you had snakes in your shoes?

Post-9/11 airport security is wonderfully laughable, isn't it? I don't believe I've ever gotten past without additional screening. The funniest thing about their silly little shoe fetish is they still have a ~25% at detecting real weapons. Some of the largest airports have a 50% or worse failure rate.

My ATL experience was the same - a breeze. Also? Love AirTran.

Too bad you didn't plan the St. Thomas trip so you'd be gone the 12th and 13th. Can you imagine the fallout? hahahaha

He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named has already put a blackout on those dates though, hasn't he? Also, out of curiosity... has some muckety-muck from HR ever come sniffin' around there? Asking questions about what we 'fruit flies' think are the "strengths and challenges", etc?

Just curious because it's a little thing we're trying to figure out. We're trying to determine if they're just there routinely or if they've started to notice the high turnaround and are investigating.
