That means a couple occupants of the cells are due to be released.

Nita and Satya head for Jasmine's cell first. Baby takes the wall from semi-opaque to transparent at Nita's request.

"Jasmine."

[nita_callahan]

Nita slips her hands into her pockets and watches.

[hundred_twelfth]

"All right. First: tell me you know the rules and plan on following them in future."

[nowait_letme]

Eyeroll.

"I know the rules and I plan on following them in future," he repeats dutifully.

And, what's more important, sincerely.

[hundred_twelfth]

"Tell me if you're challenged like that again around here, you're going to walk the challenger out the door or into the hands of Security, or at least not kriffing torture them."

[nowait_letme]

"You got it, honeybunch."

[nita_callahan]

"Chainsaw . . ."

Not cute when you're promising to be good.

[nowait_letme]

He just smiles.

[hundred_twelfth]

"....I read sincerity in that affirmation," she says wryly. "Baby, open up. You're free to go, Chainsaw."

[nowait_letme]

"Thank you," he says graciously, and leaves the cell with his hands in his pockets.

He hasn't put a shirt on all week. Hands up, anyone who's surprised.

[nita_callahan]

"Do you want an escort out?"

[nowait_letme]

"Nah, I'm good."

He pauses, lays a hand on her shoulder, and shifts posture as though about to speak.

Then, after a moment's hesitation, he shakes his head and keeps going.

[nita_callahan]

. . . On the assumption that Chainsaw wouldn't even start to speak if he didn't consider it important, Nita shoots a glance at Satya and asks, "Think we're done here?"

[hundred_twelfth]

"Yeah."

[nita_callahan]

A smile.

"Thanks, Satya. I owe you . . . probably at least a couple."

[hundred_twelfth]

"Don't worry about it. Jedi, right? Just doing my job."

Beat.

"You're welcome."
