Why amir khan films for Gods' sakes ?! Watch Shahrukh Khan films. He's much much much much better.

Well, I realise Shahrukh is the more popular of the two, but having seem him in Kal Ho Naa Ho, I conclude that I vastly prefer Aamir, both because of his looks and the way he acts in films. And I do like Aamir's dancing. I have a couple of friends who are Aamir fans and a couple of Shahrukh fans, and from what I've seen the argument can go on forever, but my vote is firmly on Aamir ;) Though I'll gladly watch some Shahrukh films, too.

Why not? They are two completely different actors and preference it's just as personal as it can be.
I really like SRK, I've seen almost all of his films. He's enjoyable to watch and I'd never say he's a worse actor, which you seem to suggest in reference to Aamir Khan. He, on the other hand, simply stole my heart with a single movie (Dil Chahta Hai) and I am constantly amazed with his brilliant acting. Mangal Pandey, Lagaan and, especially 1947: Earth left rendered me speechless. He's definitely my favourite but I do watch films with other actors.
novin_ha is right, the argument can go on forever but why SRK's devoted fans are so sensitive about other people's taste is beyond my understanding.
