I am still alive. Moreover, quite gladly so. Apart from my German Teacher keeping us half an hour longer than she ought to, I happen to have had a nice day. A letter came from my former classmate. Weird, weird. "ń" and "ć" and "ź"...And "ż" :D

The point of the monster of "wziąść" is, it should be pronounced "wziąć", and this common (but disgusting) mistake appeared in a commercial. On TV.

My language deteriorates. It is a pain.

Yeah...right. It's not like I could pronounce either the wrong or the right version without accidentally tieing my tongue into a knot :)

I can only speak for the deterioration of German, but yeah. It's awful. I hate it that stupidity and laziness are taking over, making WRONG grammar and spelling widely acceptable while I still cringe every single time it's used.

Yes. Some totally absurd, wrong phrases are becoming alright just because the majority are using it.

F**k me, language is not a democracy. Or at least shouldn't be.

*yeah, what issues is N. passionate about - language and politics ;)*

Hehe, how much I understand it - I was taught not to say so and I'm touchy at this point much.

I regret not having TV in my room now - I'm really curious what's fascinating in this TV series you write about :)

Oh, and your family re not watching it? Poor you :(

It's not a what - it's a "who". A woman who found out her son was smoking pot and to teach him a lesson put it in his sport club cupboard and rang the police. A woman who, after finding her husband is into BDSM put the handcuffs in the dishwasher before using it (with disgust ;). A woman who... well, just rocks.

Bree.
