cucumbers much like lettuce is all filler, no killer. it's all there to make you feel like you're eating something substantial or of substance. it's just water and you'll be hungry again in 10 mins. pickles on the other-hand are delicious and you're a blasphemer for thinking otherwise.

I totally agree. I can't stand the things. That being said I could never go vegetarian, but applaud you for doing so. As for the Quinoa I had never heard of it until earlier this week when I was in whole foods they had some with some black beans in it cooked with a vegetable broth. You should try it out like that. I really liked it, and usually have nothing but contempt for non meat based protein. :P
