And not only did this mix have some of my favorite artists and songs, it also introduced me to new favorites. As a stand-alone mix, it's absolutely amazing, with a great pace and energy, but oh man, in the context of the fic, it is absolutely, completely mind-bogglingly awesome. It adds depth, and touches on Ray's perspective, which the Brad POV lacked, and it totally blows me away how well it does that. It captures the loneliness and hope and frustration and anger and LOVE between the two so well. I really cannot express how much I adore this mix and how often I've listened to it -- I kind of want to write an essay about every song choice.
