I can't wait to read this! Kara sent it to me when it was posted anonymously and I meant to read it but I've been so busy getting my podfic done. But now my podfic is published and I'm free for reading. Whee!

I know, I know. This is one of those comments that come before the commenter has even read it so it's like "what exactly is the point of this comment?" BUT I'm excited. And that's the point.

Also, ninja dinosaurs with flaming swords, ok?

OMG, girl!

You are an AMAZING writer. Holy fuck. I'm officially a FAN.

I don't have time to write a detailed response just now, but suffice it to say that I'm blown away and can't wait to read more (even if there aren't any ninja dinosaurs with flaming swords (NDWFS?) in them).

I watched the Frog Princess the other day, and made Baron Samedi references the whole way through, that my friends did not understand.

I didn't know I made sense until we started talking &hearts

Loa, and Inanna (oh hey Ishtar), and the sex/death mythological conjunction, and oh your brain! I can't believe I didn't read this before, because it wasn't my fandom. I should have known better :)

Oh, how I heart you! You leave the most delightful comments, honestly. *smishes forever* And HEH, you know how I love mythology! You and I make perfect sense, it is the rest of the world that isn't paying the right sort of attention.

I love this, is was beautiful. I didn't want it to stop where it did, I wanted to see where it went from there! Still beautiful though, like all my favorite things rolled into one. I'm going to have to go find this The Halloween Tree now.

Is Baron Samedi really the villain in Princess and the Frog? Ugh.

I am the worst at comments -- latest reply ever. But thank you! I'm so delighted you enjoyed, and oh man, I hope you enjoyed The Halloween Tree too! It has been my favorite book since I first read it, and I have read many, many books before and since.

UGH, well, it is not explicitly stated, but he definitely has all the right traits. If it's not an intentional parallel, it's a REALLY REALLY HUGE coincidence. :\

YOU LOVE THOSE THINGS TOO? *smishes you to chest forever* Oh man, this is pretty much my most self-indulgent story EVER, I just rolled around in geeky mythology and anthropology and ghostliness blissfully and then slung it up on livejournal, heh. I'M SO GLAD YOU LIKED IT! ♥ ♥ ♥

Psssh indulgency - their last names are WAY. Which makes this work SO WELL. THIS STORY WAS MEANT TO BEEEEEEEE.

OKAY, I AM JUST GOING TO GO AHEAD AND FRIEND YOU, THEN, IF THAT'S OKAY. GOOD. *heart-eyes at you forever* Fellow anthro nerd! \o/ I do paleoanthropology as a focus, but oh man, I love ALL anthropologies ever. OM NOM, CULTURAL ETHNOGRAPHY AND LINGUISTIC THEORY AND ETHNOBOTANY.

:D :D :D Well, I could DEFINITELY NOT RESIST IT, THAT MUCH IS CERTAIN. :D :D :D
