Writing Update, "What Comes After," NaNoWriMo

Dec 05, 2012 09:57

NaNoWriMo has once again come to a close. I didn't make a big deal of it, but I did "win" and got my 50,000 words done. "What Comes After" still needs a little more writing to be complete--50,000 didn't do the trick! But it's not much, just gotta finish what little is left of the last chapter and then slap on an epilogue and it's ready for beta ( Read more... )

*jumps up and down* Thank you! I am very happy about it. Not just because its NaNo, but because I've been wanting to finish this fic for AGES. I'm SO relieved to be so close to having it done. And, I know I can post as quick as I can get it beta read so updates will be more steady.

It's a HUGE, huge relief.

Thank you. As I told Gaelic, you are one of the few I keep going for. I know you're here for me and a real friend, so thank you for that!

*big smish*

I'm glad you decided to post it. I would have been VERY disappointed if you hadn't. And I *am* happy for you that you 'won'. I personally think that it's practically impossible to have our 'best' writing with those parameters. But you always tell a good story, and I'm looking forward to reading it. :)

Oh, no, I always intended to post it at FanFiction.net because people there still ask me about it in PMs and new people still subscribe to it--so definitely it was always going to be posted somewhere, I just waffled on doing it on LJ since I often can hear an echo here, lol! I sometimes wonder if eventually my LJ will just fade away. But I really look forward to surprising my FF.net people!

Yeah, *hugs*, you are definitely one of the handful I knew would be happy for me. The thing about my long dry spell, I found out who was really a friend and who really wasn't. I always knew some people were just readers, and that's always fine, but I didn't realize some of the people I thought were friends would just up and disappear like that. Now I know the difference and I'm prepared for whatever happens from here. It was a learning experience.

So thank you, my friend. You are among the elite that I know I can count on to be around for better or worse. *big ol' smish-a-roo*

Thanks. As with gaelicspirit and tuckercat2, you are one of the few I spoke of when I knew I had to post here. I sincerely do appreciate that handful of you who stuck with me. So. Much. Despite my long absences. LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!

we love your writing , and I would miss it if you decided not to post. I'm pretty much a lurker, so I'm happy you thought of me along side the likes of Gaelic, cause she is just awesome =)

Well what matters to me are the people who are still here despite the rough patch of no writing and a lot of depressing personal posts. That always matters to me. *hugs you*

Thank you. *huggles back* I hope when it posts it's worth the ginormous wait everyone had to go through. I just want everyone to enjoy themselves with it. :)

Oh!!!! YAY!!!! I'm so glad you finished! I can't wait to read. I think I'll have to back up and start from the beginning, but believe me, as much as I enjoy your writing, that is no difficult task.

Now, get that beta to work and wow me with your brilliance! HURRY! I can't wait to see how this ends!!!

Yeah, I hate that there's been such a huge gap that most people will have to start from the beginning...but I'm glad you're not burdened by the idea, lol! I just hope it was worth the wait. That's really matters to me! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you.
