In My Dreams, Vidding is Easy--and So Is Writing

Sep 02, 2012 16:38

I wish I had the technical skill to put a video together as quickly as my mind would allow. I keep running into songs I'd love to see made into an SPN vid, I can come up with the feel and the ideas most of the time, but I just don't have the time it takes to take it from my head and put it in Vegas because my technical skill is limited. It takes me ( Read more... )

what comes after, writing, vidding

I started in fanfiction by reading your work. I will be here to read when you write and share it. I love your work and always have.

Dreams are really hard to find and to make them come true is even harder. Please share your journey it really helps me.

Thank you, that really does mean a lot to hear. Yes, dreams are elusive. I seem to have plenty of dreams, just not the ability to make them solid. I'm glad posting this stuff is useful for someone. Even after all this time, I always still sometimes feel weird letting these little pieces of me be put into the world--or wondering if it ever matters--but better here than stuck in my head never expressed. :)

*hugs you*

Hee-hee, don't feel awkward (I love that icon)! This was just a general update for anyone who might actually be interested--especially since I explained part of my reasons for not vidding was being busy with writing. No pressure on you, though, I need to get these other things done as well. Especially WCA. I'm so woefully behind on it. Sometimes I think I should make IT my NaNo even though you're not supposed to use a story you're already working on--but, at least it would be finished and it probably would equal another 50,000 words--so what would be the difference? IDK.

Anyway, yes, writing is hard. A lot harder than I ever thought it would be. It would be easier to just quit, but there are still all these words in my head.

*hugs you back with an extra smish thrown in*

Thanks for sharing these vids. I enjoyed the first one. The second one I didn't care for at first but I'm listening to it now, and it's growing on me. I think the more I listen to it, the more I'll fall in love with it.

I can see where these would make compelling vids for Sam and Dean. The first one I see more images in my head of Dean interacting with Lisa in some story that Show has never given us.

Thanks so much for sharing these vids. I can see where they'd get into your head.

Don't worry about your stories and where you want them to go. They may want to go a different way. It does happen. Plus, maybe if you took a break and let them perc in the back of your mind while doing something else (making a vid) they may change and grow into something more like what you want them to be.

You have the talent, and the imagination. It'll come. Don't force it.

You're welcome! Well, the songs are odd choices, but they just gripped me. The second one is not something I would normally listen to, but I think it's a combination of lyrics and music, particularly the way the music moves. It would be good for good-paced scene changes and possibly the effect where you could do short slo-mos on certain points.

*blushes* Thanks, I'm not really sure I'm talented, but I definitely have imagination. Too much, I think, since I spend more time in my head than living real life sometimes.
