Lovely! Liked the Teyla POV, and made me think how ingrained the image of our planet as seen from outside is in our culture. Wonder if the Athosians would have a similar image or not, seeing as they had knowledge of other planets and weren't therefore so attached to an only known planet...

Teyla's kind of my default voice in the SGA fandom. I find her relatively easy to write - I just hope I stay true to her character! But to be honest, I'm not sure how I came up with the image of the planet; it was just one of those things that came up when I was trying to think of exactly what Kate would give Teyla (Teyla, I knew, would give something that was related to her own culture, but seeing as how Earth doesn't have a collective/shared culture to represent the whole planet I couldn't think of what Kate would have thought appropriate).

However, I think you're feeding me even more plot-bunnies... It's been a little while since I did a piece about the Athosians... Hm.
