Sounds like a great salad. Too bad that family of vegetables is a no no.

Indeed. I still eat cruciferous veggies on occasion (I adore Brussels sprouts when prepared sweet & savory; broccoli & bok choy are also favorites), but not every week.

Luckily, asparagus is not of that family, so I've been indulging in that, when my budget allows.

The salad was really good! It was my first handmade vinaigrette, too, so I was very happy with how it turned out.
