I gave dionysus1999 a pair of those very slippers a handful of years back.

I grew up in Minnesota. I would have loved a pair of those slippers when I was a kid and we had cold floors.

dionysus1999 told me more than once that those slippers were head-heavy, so they made a decent tripping hazard when traversing stairs. Still, in a Minnesota winter, I think I would take the risk.
