Coincidentally enough, the differences in your posting style has had me pondering not only what responses I get, and what styles I respond to in friends, but what purposes I want to fill with my journal. For what it's worth, your exchange with the two women clearly charged you up, and I was curious to engage you about that. But I don't know enough about you yet to formulate the questions I'm trying to formulate.

And I'm just beginning to absorb your whole trip, which all looks amazing. Contrary to the "cool story" theory, there is so much in your long posts to engage me that I'm at a loss to know where to begin.

Glad to hear you have more time for your dissertation. And that class sounds so exciting! I may have to scare up some faith in the younger generations.

Sorry: I didn't mean to sound like I was fishing: I was just a bit amused by the difference in personal weight/public reaction.

Yes, I'm starting to feel like risking such faith in the freshmen, myself.

Do you have any theories concerning the last 5 Cylons? Do you suspect anyone in particular?

We were baffled by the logic of this, and why the Cylons would not know such a significant portion of their race, or even why they'd know the number of models, or who, therefore - all the way back to the beginning - left the note for Adama that there were 12 models.

I am reminded of what my friend Elizabeth said to our friend Patrick just before their fiction workshop today: "Patrick, what you've written... it's just so right and lovely I have... nothing to say! I'm SORRY!"

AUGH I AM STILL IN VOLUME ONE. :( That is the one really really awful thing about this program - you're reading upwards of 200 pages a day as it is, and memorizing stupid math propositions, and all you really want when you're done is a cold one. ;D

Amazing. I thought you were totally going to trash me on this one. Keep at it, and let me know where you are as you go along: I really was looking forward to "reading it together," and was so frustrated when I then went to visit family in the Land of the No Internet Connection for a week, where I assumed you were outdistancing me and thinking Deep Thoughts about it the whole time....

I'm sorry. :( We can read it in proximity if not together. **sniff**
