WOOOOOAH. I walked the 25 minutes from my house to the bus stop at about 5:30 this evening. MAN, was I ever soaked. I had an umbrella, but it didn't really help. Of course the shoulders of the Hammonds Plains Road are a joke and the sidewalk doesn't kick in until the last 3rd of the hike, so my feet were swimming in my shoes astonishingly promptly ( Read more... )

Breakdancing down at Studio In Essence? It's a decently priced dance lesson, if you're interested in it further. I'm surprised you went though, Studio In Essence's programs are mostly for girls.

Yes, but they weren't sexist. =) Still, the experience reminded me of our aerobics / pilates lessons in Ukraine, which I participated in because otherwise I would have been just lifting weights by myself (boring; also dangerous). I remember the instructor being like, "Okay, that's the girl's change room, and that's the girl's change room." Both traditionally-for-girls things are definitely not things I would have ever done on my own, though.
