Oh, but it is! I mean, one wrong move and BOOM! No editing video! Or BOOM! Not running that game! Or BOOM! Wonky display! Or... you get the idea. I'm going to be living with this thing for years, and I need to get it right the first time. There's no Take 2. I came into this wanting no surprises about what I buy, and even then a few almost snuck up on me and I would have either purchased junk or yesterday's technology. Or I mean yesterday's yesterday's. It's a cutthroat jungle out there of vendors and pricing and compatibility and features - ei yi yi! At least Dell, cryptic discounts and Annands in Bombay aside, did what was necessary to clearly state exactly what I was getting and to make it oh so easy for me to get exactly what I wanted. Heck, there was probably room for improvement, but at least it worked. Apple's move to get people to pay premium prices for entry-level equippment really irks me (the only thing really standing out for them value-wise was the clock speed), and Acers are hit-and-miss - I saw a few junky ones in my ( ... )

You're right, we wouldn't. All I want in a laptop is a screen that doesn';t buzz. And for MSN to work on it.
