this has absolutly nothing to do with your current post, and i'm sorry if this seems sketchy because it's anonymous but i deleted my own lj(s) a few months back.
i, too, lived in ostroh for three months, i was actually on the same program that linsday (matthews) was on. i randomly tripped over your lj entries about ostroh, and you mentioned PEOPLE THAT I KNOW (seriously, no one ever just randomly knows people that i knew from ostroh). so i got a little over enthusiastic and had to share this event with someone...namely, you.
sorry for being so obtrusive, but i'm glad someone else in halifax besides me (and my two program-friends that live here) knows about KARO.
I won't soon forget watching the local teenagers head-bang to "Chop Suey." Yeah, I miss Lindsay, she was one of the islands of sanity in our group. Amusingly, we needed her a lot more than she needed us! =)
I'm really glad to hear from you; you're A**, I take it? Or I could be wrong about the name, but I remember Lindsay mentioning something about you (or someone from Halifax or perhaps the Valley) taking a lot of pictures and that's about all I know. =) I think I saw some of your pictures. Two degress, eh?
Well, I'm really really happy to hear from you and I'm glad you enjoyed my old posts; I only wish there was similar entertaining fare now. Maybe I'll have to drive across Canada or something to stir up interest. =)

yup, i'm amy. cat, the girl you met in ukraine (syshyn's ex girlfriend) is actually one of my best/closest friends. inna onopriychuk was my counterpart. and yes, i took approximately one gazillion pictures during the program.
and yeah, lindz definitely demonstrated some needed logic while in our group...well, when she wasn't sneaking around with vania.
you got me thinking about ukraine again...i can't believe it's been two years since i've been there!
Hi Amy! Oh, I miss Inna so much! She was such a sweetie! I was in touch with her a fair bit before I went to Ukraine, and she really put me at ease about the whole thing.
