Jazz hands, everybody!

Jul 31, 2008 15:00

My school is clearly trying to kill me. Dance classes in PE? Jazz dance classes? Sure recipe for humiliation and awkwardness. And the first thing the woman says is "Leave your inhibitions at the door! I want everyone to have fun today!" Right. Okay. I will never be able to have fun dancing with a bunch of other people in the room, because I have ( Read more... )

rambling, meme, school, panic at the disco

With the height - are you short, or tall? *curious*

(I'm figuring it's short, and I am, you know, very much with the vertically challenged myself, but I have come to consider it as "well, hell, at least I get to make Patrick Stump (and various Irish musicians) feel tall!" Sometimes this helps. ;) )

And oh, dude, I LOVE the bookery idea. That is beautiful (and I would totally support it a lot. Books and baked goods. Are there any things more awesome? I THINK NOT. ...well, okay. Coffee is also pretty excellent. But that could totally go with bakery stuff too, so.)

Short. I mean, not exceptionally so, but my younger brother grew a ridiculous amount in a short period of time and I have pretty much stopped growing, so. (But yes! That does make me feel better. Plus I just remind myself that there are many pocket-sized members of bandom who I find completely adorable.)

There will be coffee at the bookery, I promise. And yeah, I've been hooked on the idea for a while, but there was this brilliant little cafe in Sydney a while ago that had three stories and gluten free muffins and really good smoothies and I just...fell totally in love.

Aren't younger brothers infuriating that way? My brother is four years younger and he's almost a foot taller. Like... no, seriously, how did he get ALL the tall genes? NOT COOL. (So true! So so true! *pats Frankie*)

Eeeeeeexcellent. Seriously, I approve SO HARD.

My brother is three years younger, and it's basically the same story. And it's ridiculous, because my father is tall and my mother is, and both sets of grandparents. So really, I missed out. (I was clearly thinking of Frankie. He is all compact! It's endearing and useful!)

Sometimes I think I could be totally happy doing that for the rest of my life. But apparently it's necessary to get a university education first.

Hey, remember when we used to call each other Nova and Midnight, because they sounded like superhero names and we got lazy and then they just stuck? Well, for a while.

#2 is the lie, and I mostly know this because you hardly ever say that you're really good at something.

Love "Mad World". Have we talked about Donnie Darko? I'm sure it's come up, but I'm old and senile and can't remember that far back.

Yes! Man, we'd have been the best superheroes. We called each other by those names for over a year, I swear. It took ages before I even knew your real name.

That...is true. But also, you know the other two are true, so you have an advantage.

I think we have? But the fact remains that I haven't seen it. I just fell in love with the song and now my mother asks me to play it for her all the time.

I just made this because I thought it sounded kind of cool, but if you want me to take it down, I can.

Mad World is a great song; my boss has it as her ringtone. You should watch the movie, though. It's got a great realistic-superhero theme to it. And of course Jake Gyllenhaal is wonderful, as usual. Just...expect to have to watch it like 3 or 4 times before you start to understand it or even like it. Not because it's just that deep and above you, but because it's really confusing and it took me forever to figure out what the hell was going on. And after you sort of figure it out, you realize it doesn't matter anyway because the movie operates on so many levels that you don't even really have to "get it" to get it.

Wow, ramble. Um, see the movie and we'll talk more.

No! Don't you dare take it down! That's so awesome! I'm going to be grinning for ages about that one.

Rambling is fine, seriously. Truthfully, I had an opportunity to watch it last year when I was home sick one day, but I was alone and I got freaked out watching the menu because the rabbit freaked me out. *is embarrassed* I'm a huge wimp, okay? But I'll rent it soon, and we will talk. (Just like I'll find a bookstore that actaully has Hero soon, and read that.)

Are you coming back to North America for college? Because, then you will definitely get to see them more. Just have patience (which is really fucking hard) Especially if you are in the NYC metro area, because I need a concert buddy.

We will have to go to at least one concert together! And yeah, I should be back in North America for uni. But even then, Ottawa doesn't really get concerts; it'll be long road trips, still.

When you have breaks, you can come down to NYC for shows!

I made the mistake in college of taking a dance class as my PE credit. I, like you, find it impossible to "leave my inhibitions at the door" so the first few weeks of the class were torture. But once I got to know everyone, I felt more comfortable. ♥ You'll be okay :)

I think it's just because it's within our PE classes, so I do know everyone? And half of them are dancers.

But maybe I'll improve slightly, and feel a bit more comfortable.

Oh god, dance. And you still have to wear the stupid shapeless uniforms, yes? Me, snicker? What are you talking about? Just because I don't do gym. :D

Heeee, stamp collecting.

Clearly, we need to lengthen our phone calls. However, that's probably better for a non-weeknight, so you actually get some sleep before going to school. Apparently, it helps. Go figure.

Oh, dude, a bookery is clearly the best thing ever! I'd sit around all day bugging you and getting fat.

I just told Sami I wasn't going to do this! Phooey.

Yes, still. And shut up. Seriously. I hate you. *sticks tongue out* (Also, I am very mature.)

Whatever! I've been doing for ages, and I need to properly sort them soon. They're not in great condition atm.

Clearly. But I can function on very little sleep - don't doubt me.

It's a deal.

You don't have to! There's just hardly anyone left who hasn't.

God, they might have actually been better when it was plaid shorts and white shirts, I think. I mean, why red? (I totally appreciate that.)

No, it's actually kind of cool. Where have you got stamps from?

I don't, I just think sleep can be good every now and then.

\o/

No, I'm doing it, I'm making a post anyway. :D

I never got those shorts! But Elora had three pairs of them, and I used to borrow them in the summer when I slept over. I liked them, actually. The red shorts are possibly the worst material ever, and they don't fit anyone properly.

Everywhere! My Oma sends stamps from her friends in Europe, and Elora's mother gave me a whole bunch from her friends....people just give me stamps. I will sort them out, soon!

Post!
