Today is Valentine.. And as the famous and popular boy at school, He sure received thousands of chocolates from his fangirls.. My chocolate wouldn’t have special meaning for him though..
“This is the first and only chocolate I eat.. I just eat yours.”
“But you received many.. there’s plenty of expensive and delicious chocolates than this one.. It’s not that delicious since I burn it a bit when I make it..”
“The fact that you made this yourself make this chocolate more special.. special from my bestfriend..” He pinched my cheek..

“Candies for my bestfriend..” He give me the beautiful wrapping candies..
“You gave this for me?”
“Yeah.. I ate your chocolate on Valentine. So, I should give you candies on White day..”
“You remember white day?”
“Of course.. I’m not a fool.”
I smile widely.. “Thank you..”
“Never mind.. And don’t cry please.. I know you’re touched.. hihi..” He giggles..
Who wouldn’t be touched? Your crush just give you candies on White day.. I can’t even describe how’s my feeling right now.. He is a sweet guy..

“Let’s take a stroll at the park.. it’s been a long time..” He said infront of my house.. he’s ready with his bicycle..
“Okay.. I will just get my bicycle inside..” I said and turning.. But he caught my arm..
“Just sitting on my back.. No need for more bicycle..”
“B-but..”
“Hop in, Palli.. the weather is too nice to be waste..”
I hesitantly get on his back..
He began to strolling his bycicle..
“Yah.. just hold on me..” He said and place my hands on his waist.. “I don’t want you fell down and make me embarrassed..”
“Hmmm..” I snort..
He quickens his speed and make me hug him more tight.. we often ride on our bicycle and take a stroll at the park in our neighbourhood.. usually I have my own bicycle and we often did the race.. But, today it’s different.. It’s my first time riding on one bicycle with him.. hugging him like this.. we’re like a couple.. when in fact, we’re just bestfriend..

“I think you did too much..” I said to him when we reach the restaurant for dinner..
“This is your birthday.. it must be special..” He take a look at the menus..
“But, I didn’t do much on your birthday..”
“You did much.. you stayed up all night to prepared gift for me. It’s special because you make it yourself. I must do something more for you..”
“But, this restaurant is expensive..”
“Don’t worry.. and just eat.”
I stop talking seeing his serious face.. I don’t expect him to bring me for dinner in this luxurious restaurant. The things I did on his birthday can’t be compared to this special dinner.. I just make him the book full of our selca’s collections and bake a birthday cake for him. I feel embarrassed to myself.. I didn’t even buy him anything for his birthday..
“Thanks for the dinner..” I said when we reach my front gate..
“It’s nothing..”
“You have alot of money didn’t you..” I tease him..
“I just borrowed my mother’s card.. hihi..”
“As expected..”
“Hmmm... and.. here. one more thing..” He suddenly take out something from his pocket..
“For you..” He gave me the small blue box with ribbon on it..
A necklace.. with butterfly pendant greet me when I opened the box. It’s really beautiful..
“That one I bought with my own saving money.. I just think, butterfly suits you..”
“Yong~”
“Wae~”
“It’s really beautiful!!”
“I told you, I have great eyes..”
I nod in agreement..
“Let me put it on you..” He take the necklace from the box and put it on my neck..
“Thank you so much..”
“It wouldn’t be touching if it stop here..”
I frown..
He take the shopping bag who’s hanging in his motorcycle all this day and gave it to me..
“What is it again?”
“Tada!!!” He exclaimed when I take out the scarf from the bag..
“Scarf?”
“Well, I know it’s still summer.. but, I made this for you to wear it on winter later..”
“You made it?!!!” I widened my eyes..
He smile shyly.. “Well, it’s bad though.. look, there’s some flaws here and there.. But I really put alot of effort to make this. So.. please don’t throw it..”
I can’t hold my tears anymore.. he is too much.. it’s really the most special birthday to me.. my crush.. my bestfriend.. my very special person.. knit a scarf for me.. I hope this is not a dream..
“Happy birthday, Seo Joohyun..”
“Thank you so much..” I come closer and hug him tightly.. It feels really good when he stroke my hair softly.. I cried even more..
“Hey.. don’t cry..”
“How can I not cry.. You make me feel like so special..”
“You are special, Hyun.. The most special for me..”
“I would treasure this scarf and necklace forever..”

I nod..
“Why I should go with her?”
“There’s rumor that you two are dating..”

“So, you’re not dating yet..”
“What do you mean with yet?”
“I thought you like her..”
“Yah.. Seo Joohyun. You are my bestfriend.. You should know me better than anyone else. If I like her, I would tell you first..”
He’s right..
“But, everyone said you’re slowly become close to her..”
“That because we are partner in English class.. and Shinhye already have boyfriend..”
“You met her boyfriend?”
“I met him in bookstore when we just bought books for our project.. Her boyfriend look tough..”
“Huh?”
“He’s scary.. I think his name is Kim Woo Bin. He’s tall and look like a gangster..”
I laugh.. “So, you don’t like her?”
“Never.. She’s not as beautiful as you..”
My cheek turn red.. “You think I’m beautiful?”
He gave his thumb.. “The most.”
Jung Yonghwa.. Are you trying to kill me? You always make my heart stop beating without you even notice.

“In the end.. It’s you with me..” I said to him when we reach the prom venue
“It’s better than with some strangers..”
I nod..
He offered his hand.. “Let’s go..”
I gladly accept his hand and together we walk towards inside..
This is my second time to be in prom night.. At the first year, I went with my classmate who’s just randomly asked me while Yonghwa going with the senior who have crush in him. He just can’t rejected that senior’s offer when she always asked him everyday.. Prom night will get better if you go with your lover or the one you like.. Inside my heart.. I’m glad Yonghwa still didn’t have any particular girl who’s get his interest.. So I have chance to be with him in this year’s prom. I don’t know if this chance will still there next year..
“Let’s dance, Hyun..” He hold my hand and lead me to the dance floor..
We dance randomly at the cheerful songs while throwing some jokes to each other.. After some minutes passed, The song turn into ballad and all the couples who’s dance suddenly hugging each other and dance in slow peace..
I told Yonghwa to stop but he didn’t hear me.. instead, he grab my waist and place my arms on his shoulder..
“Yah.. it feel awkward..” I said..
“This is the highlight of the prom.. It will be waste if we skip it..”
We dance in slow peace and our face so close with each other.. In this extend, I don’t know if he caught me blushing so hard and can’t even look at his eyes.. My eyes just look around to all side except his eyes.. I can feel his eyes never leave me.. He stare at me without even blink.. Make me even more embarrassed. Did he know I have a crush on him? Why he stare like that..
He smile before he take my head to lean on his shoulder.. Oh My God!!!!
“Hyun.. you look so uncomfortable.. Come on, it’s just me.. your bestfriend since forever..”
“Don’t you feel uncomfortable too? We never really be like this before. You must do this with your girlfriend instead of me..” I said while still leaning in his shoulder.. We’re hugging too close with each other..
“But I like it..”
“What?”
“I really like this year’s prom night.. hundreds more better than last year.”

“Why you suddenly want to watched horror movie?” I ask him when we reach the theater..
“I don’t know either..”
“But I’m scared..”
“It’s okay.. I’m here..”
“Aish..” I pout but still following him..
We brought one big box of popcorn and two colas.. I will just eating this popcorn without looking at the screen.. I’m scared of ghost and he know that..
“Yah.. just watched it.. Nothing’s scary.” He said while munching his popcorn..
“If I have nightmare tonight.. It’s all your fault!!”
“I will take the responsibility.. I will sleep with you tonight..”
“Yah!!” I hit his arm..
“Hush..” He place his forefinger in my lips.. “We’re on theater now. Keep quite..”
I bit his finger hard.. make him squealed loudly..
“We’re watching horror movie now. It’s okay to be loud!”
He glare at me and continue to watch the movie.. He’s cute..

“Let’s have dinner in Jonghyun’s apartment tonight..”
“Huh?”
“We need some quality times with them.. Let’s go there, And cooking..” He grab my hand..
“Why so sudden?”
“I want to know your skill in cooking...”
“I don’t know how to cook..”
“Thats why you need to learn. You’re lucky if you got husband like me who’s a good cook. But if you’re not? Otthoke?”
“I can take care about my future husband myself. It’s still far away though..”
“Let me teach you cooking some dish..”
“Jonghyun is in his apartment?”
He shook his head.. “He still in school. Minhyuk and Jungshin too.. We can use his kitchen all we want.”
“Hmmm...”
“Aish.. I don’t need your opinion. Let’s go..”
We go to the store and bought the things we need for dinner. Jonghyun, Minhyuk and Jungshin are Yonghwa’s bandmate.. they form a band since middle school. there’s still no name yet but all of them are talented.. I become close to them because of Yonghwa and we often hang out together as a group. Jonghyun stay alone in Seoul without his parents who’s in Busan.. his parents move to Busan while he have to continue his school in Seoul. His apartment is like our second home.. we often playing there and each of us have the key..
“Yah.. you can cut your finger if you chopping them like that..” Yonghwa said when I chopping some vegetables..
“Teach me then..”
“Here..” He stand behind me and teaching me how to cut from behind.. hugging me and place his hand on my hand..
It remind me of our dance in prom night.. his face so close with mine.. I can feel his breath blowing into my cheek when he’s speak.. Ah!!! I really can’t stand this kind of feelings..
“Ah.. forget it. Just let me chop it.. You just have to wash that pan..”
I pout and release myself from his grasp.. He said he want to teach me but he just let me wash the pan?
The cooking finished for about three hours later.. I succeed to make the cream spagetthy with Yonghwa’s help.
“Is this pizza?” Jonghyun commented when he saw my spagetthy on the table..
“Yah! Just eat whatever we prepared.. No complain..” I said to them..
“So full of cheese..” Minhyuk mocking..
“Don’t eat then..”
“I will just eat Yonghwa Hyung’s Dwenjang Jiggae..”
“Whatever!!”
We eat dinner while talking about recent issues we always talked.. i feel really comfortable around them just like with Yonghwa. Of course I’m closer to Yonghwa since we’ve been friend since kids..
Even though it’s full of cheese and we have the hard time to swallow the spagetthy.. I’m glad they’re considered enough to finished it.. I myself didn’t think the spagetthy is delicious.. They’re really a good friends.. and I don’t want to lose them because of my feelings towards Yonghwa.

I lied beside him on the ground.. the two of us panting hard after the useless basketball game we did..
“Thank you..” He suddenly said..
“For what?”
“You always accompanying me playing when I’m in the mood..”
“Thats what bestfriend are for..”
“Let’s have a drink..” He said and stood up..
“You must treat me something fresh to drink..”
“Let’s go to that cafe..” He pointed at the cafe nearby..
“Okay..”
“Yah..” He grab my hand..
“Wae?”
“Let me piggy back you.. You must be tired..”
“Eiii.. No need. I’m still-“ Before I can continue my words, he suddenly lift me up..
“You know.. It’s been a long time since I piggy back you.” He said when I already lean on his back..
“Thats when we’re still kids.. I’m much heavier now..”
“Well, you’re heavy.”
“Yah..”
“Don’t you think this situation is really romantic?”
“Huh?” I look at our surrounding.. we walk at the side of beautiful Han river.. the light who’s shine bright from each builing and the street make the sight of Han river become more romantic..
And the most important thing is.. I’m with him, when I saw this mesmerized view..

“Yah.. he just want you to wake him up..” Sooyeon onnie said to me when I was still playing with Soojung in her room..
“What?” I ask..
“He ordered me to bring you to his room..”
“Owh.... Love is in the air!!!” Soojung suddenly said in loud voice..
“But, I never come to his room before..”
“You never?” Sooyeon onnie and Soojung said at the same time..
“But, when we’re kids..” Sooyeon onnie said..
“It’s different onnie.. I never saw his room since we got into middle school.”
“Keunde, why Yonghwa oppa want you to go to his room? Maybe...” Soojung rolled her eyes and staring at my whole body
I throw the pillow at her face.. “Byuntae!! You’re still underage Jung Soojung!!”
“Don’t blame me.. I just followed my onnie and oppa..”
“Yah.. Yonghwa is the biggest pervert among us.” Sooyeon onnie simply said. it make my cheek hot.
I walk towards his room who’s just across Sooyeon onnie’s room.
“Yong~” I opened the door..
“Hmm..”
“Yah.. Wake up. The preparation will soon be ready.”
“Arraseo..”
“Why you want me to come to your room?” I suddenly ask..
“Nothing.. I just want to show you my room.”
“Yah.. since when we showed our room to each other?”
“Since today. Don’t forget.. when we have gathering in your house.. I want to see your room.”
“Why so sudden?”
“I’m just curious.. don’t you curious about my room?”
Yes.. I’m curious.. So curious.. But, I wouldn’t say that.. I simply shook my head..
“Liar..” He smirk..
“What?”
“Nothing.. Let’s go..” He said and hold my hand..
Our family is close to each other and we always have gathering just for the Jung and Seo family when we have time. Ever since we’re kids, we always play together with Sooyeon onnie and Soojung when our parents busy with their own moments. Since he’s the only boy among us.. He slowly become embarrassed playing with us.. He didn’t want to playing doll with us again or even just throwing pillow to each other.
Since middle school, I’m always curious what’s on his room since he never want to showed me. But, when I started liking him, I feel embarrassed to even think about his room. He is a man after all.. Thats what I realized when I started liking him.

“Hush.. Don’t be so loud!” I place my palm on his mouth.
“Arraseo.. Mian..” He pout and then leaning his head to my shoulder.
“You are the one who want to go here” I said while opened another page of the book I read..
“I just want to be together with you in a quite place.. And library is the best choice..”

He sigh.. “Look, Seo Joohyun. I have something to tell you..”
I close my book and look seriously at him.. “Hmmm..”
He rolled his eyes and look around.. The two of us sitting under the bookself and there’s no one here..
“You create some trouble?” I guess..
He shook his head.. “Of course no..”
“Then what?”

“Huh?”
He sigh again.. longer this time.. “Seo Joohyun.. I Like You.”
I stop breathing and my heart stop beating.. What did he said? He.. He.. He l-like me? How come..?
He hold my hand softly and kiss it.. Make me flinched..

“No.. I think it’s love.. I love you Seo Joohyun..” He add..
“Hyun.. say something hyun..”
“Hyun~”
“Y-you.. You.. W-what?” I ask with low tone..

I nod while staring at him blankly..
“This Christmas.. Let’s celebrate it together. Let’s spent the Christmas Eve together.. if you want.”
“Christmas?”
He nod.. “You always spent Christmas Eve with your family.. Just spent it with me this year. I have something for you..”
“But Yong.. How come you like-“
“Look, the snow’s falling. This is the first snow..” He pointed at the window near us.. “I confessed to you since I heard today the snow will fall for the first time.. And, I really have something special for you on Christmas Eve.. Please don’t dissapointed me..”
I take a deep breath.. “A-arrseo.. I will spent the Christmas Eve with you.”
He smile widely.. “I will tell you the place and the time.. Thank you..”
I smile and nod.. my mind still in a mess right now..
“I will go first..” He got up and place the soft peck on my cheek before running away.
I feel like all my soul go away.. just leaving me with the weak body. He take all my breath away with his confession.. So sudden and unexpected..
So.. my feeling is not just one-side..

24th december come..
I walk towards the handsome man who’s waiting in front of the big Christmas tree in the center of mall.
“Hey..” I greet him..
He turned and smile widely at me.. “You look beautiful..”
“You too..” I said shly..
“Let’s eat first..” He hold my hands and lead me to the restaurant..

“Do you feel awkward around me after my confession?” He ask when we’re just finished our dinner..
I nod.. “A bit”
He laugh and stroke my hair.. “Let’s go outside..” Again, he hold my hand..
We sit at the bench near the big Christmas tree earlier.. I look around and saw a lot of people walk with their lovers while smiling and laugh happily.. Everyone should be feel happy on Christmas.. and I think, this is the most special Christmas in my life..
“I have something for you..” He said..
“What?”
“Here..” He gave me the piece of paper.. I frown but still take it..

One. Everyday.. I want him to walk with me before and after school.
Two. I want to give him the special chocolate on Valentine day. And I hope he will just eat mine..
Three. I want him to give me the candies on the White day. Just for me
Four. I want him to sing me a love song.
Five. I want to ride bicycle on his back.. strolling around at the park. Just the two of us
Six. I want him to give me the special gift on my birthday. No need to be expensive. I want him to give me the handmade gift.
Seven. I want to go to the prom with him. We dance together and become the best couple of the night
Eight. I want to watch horror movie with him. Even though I’m scared of ghost, but if he’s by my side.. I think I can endure it..
Nine. I want the two of us cooking our meal together and have dinner with homemade dish we made.
Ten. I want to playing his favorite sport basketball in the park near the Han river. I want him to give me the piggyback and together we walk with the romantic view of Han river.
Eleven. I want him to show me his room. People said, when a guy show you his room.. that mean he showed you his life..
Tweleve. I want him to confessed his love for me on the first snow fall. I want to spent the Christmas Eve with him. And I want to get my first kiss with him.
That was my wish list. I know this is the stupid wish I’ve never gonna be get. Whatever happen. I don’t want our friendship broken just because of my feeling towards him.
I close my mouth with my palm in disbeilef.. Tears started to falling on my cheek..
“I picked it up when you accidently dropped it.”
“I.. I d-didn’t remember this. All this time..”
“You didn’t remeber?”
“I never really take this seriously. I just wrote it when I don’t have anything to do in class.. You.. How can you..”
He smile and wiped my tears..
“Seo Joohyun.. wanna hear my story?”
“Tell me please..”
He intertwined our finger and kiss my hand softly..
“I don’t know since when I started to think of you as a woman. I don’t know since when I started to miss you every night and I don’t exactly know since when I started to like you. Maybe.. my feeling for you got stronger after we entered high school.”
So he like me since before..
“I want to just confessed to you. But, I felt scared about your feelings towards me. What if you didn’t feel the same? What if you hate me if I tell you the truth. I always wondering and try to find the sign about your feeling towards me. Whether you like me too or you just considered me as your bestfriend.”
“When I’m in the moment of desperation. I saw something drop from your bag when you run such in a hurry last year. I picked it up and I feel like find the light. You acually have the same feeling as me..”
I keep crying as I heard him.. “Then.. Why don’t you confessed to me right away? Since you know I have the same feeling as you too..”
“I plan to do that too.. But, this list.. It got me hooked. I want to fulfil all your wish.. It need a long way though.. But, as I saw your clueless expression when I did all the things on your list, make me enjoyed this.. Maybe, I enjoyed this more than you..”
“I enjoyed every moment I spent with you.. And I want to be a guy who can fulfil all your wish. Seo Joohyun, would you be my girlfriend?”
I suddenly hug him.. “Of course.. You pabo..”
He tighten our hug.. “I love you..”
“I love you too..”
“Now..” he broke the hug.. “I want to do the last wish on that list.. After that, you can make the new list and give it to me..”
I look down and try to read when he quickly place his lips on mine..
He kiss me in slow but sweet move.. we’re not really experience in this but his lips still taste heaven. I don’t want to lose this moment.. I want to kiss him everyday and make a tons of wish list so he could fulfil it for me..
He broke our kiss when the the light on the Christmas tree become more bright.. Christmas finally come..
“Merry Christmas..” I whispered to his ear..
“Merry Christmas..”
We hug once again while smiling from ear to ear. This is the best moment of my life.. if I have to choose the wish I really want him to fulfil. I want to be together with him forever.. every Christmas.. every year until I’m died.. I know we’re still in high school now, we still don’t know what future will bring us to.. But, in front of this big Christmas tree.. I wish our love will still there no matter what happen. I love this man.. And I want to spent the rest of my life with him.
