Matsui's Oneshot in Jump Next

Apr 23, 2010 16:40

Will apparently be called "ウーパールーパーを食べる企画"

...according to Baidu, from chinese it roughly translates into "the salamander eating plan".

Jump Next will be out on April 30th.

Edit:: Wait a minute...is Matsui eating the axolotl? Would someone who can read Japanese clarify what this blog says? matsui

Drat, I've already made gecko-eating plans for Thursday. How's Saturday at two look?

Whoop. Major HTML crisis.

Mmm it's not exactly a salamander since it lives in the water. An "wooper looper" (lol not an oompa loompa) is a Axolotl to be exact and uh. . . it's an endangered specie that looks like a fish with legs.

Well I kinda figured he'd come up with something like this.. Eating salamanders? Yum.

We know Matsui can be pretty weird at times so I don't really know what to say about this manga, other than; can't wait to read. Might not be a Neuro sequel, but it's always nice to read something new.

As far as the Japanese translation goes:
"ウーパールーパー を 食べる 企画"
"Axolotl (obj. marker) to-eat plan/design/project."

So, "Project for Eating Axolotl" would certainly be a possible translation. Or perhaps I'm wrong with where the を goes (particles aren't my strong suit) and it's about feeding an axolotl, not eating it. But I'd rather recommend against it, I hear they tend to be...a touch evil, as far as eating them goes.
