Tornado. :c

So there was a tornado last night. My house is okay, but my mom's mom lives in Pine Log, which is where most of the horrible crap happened. They're all fine, but the house is pretty messed up. Logan and I went up there today to help. I took pictures. They were lucky, there's TONS of houses that just... don't exist anymore.

Pictures. Lots and lots of pictures. )

Girl, I'm just glad you and yours are okay and that the house wasn't a total loss. :///

This is all kinds of insane. Remember that storm I mentioned last night that was coming for my house? It killed 5 people about 20-30 miles down the road. I have a bad taste in my mouth. :(

*clings to you*

It's like, all the bad stuff was about 1-2 hours north of here, and then we get the one rogue tornado. I'm just really thankful it didn't do us any damage, but then I feel like a dick because it DID to other people, and took their lives. And even then I'm like, should I be feeling bad at all because it was nowhere near as destructive as what happened to Tuscaloosa, Cullman, etc. I've been watching videos of the destruction paths and such and it's just heartbreaking. I want to give the internet a hug.

Yeah, I'm kinda in the same boat. I'm so glad we're safe, but then again there are so many people who lost everything that I just... cannot deal.

I'm so glad your grandmother is safe. Does she have a basement? That must've been so terrifying.

We narrowly missed it, from what I heard. I'm glad everyone I know is ok. *hugs*

No, they were huddled in the hallway.

Yeah, that's what we have to do at my house. :( It's terrifying, but we've never actually had a tornado hit us. I can't even imagine.

Bloody fuck. That is mad. I've seen some pretty crazy damage from ice and snowstorms, but that is awful. I hope any any and all friends/neighbours are all right.
