[Burt never did get into facebook-type stuff, and he's only sort of sure what a blog is; the point is, if he's been pretty quiet lately, it's mostly because he just never really got into the habit of giving people regular electronic updates about his life

[Really, Kurt is glad for that. He loves his dad, but parents should not be allowed on Facebook. Or Twitter. Or Tumblr. Or really any part of the internet that isn't google or wikipedia. Posts on the mansion's network are really only acceptable out of necessity.

BUT THAT IS NOT THE POINT. The point is there is LOUD BANGING in the mansion and it's WOKEN KURT UP. This is not acceptable. It's so unacceptable that Kurt is appearing on the network to bitch about it before he's even done his hair.]

I have no idea. I opened my door and was nearly smacked in the face with a string of lights. I mean, I appreciate impressive and intricate interior decorating more than anyone else here, but couldn't it have waited a couple of hours? [WHIIIINE.]

[It takes him a second to find the terminal that Kurt's voice is coming from, during which time some glittery fake snow is dusted onto his bald spot.]

Yeah, you'd figure, but it don't look like the place thought of that.

[Kurt adjusts his hair, in an attempt to make himself somewhat more presentable, even though he just rolled out of bed.

...Then he spots his dad's new snow-hair and a laugh gets caught in his throat, like he's trying not to let it out.]

You've got a little, uh-

[And he just kind of gestures like maybe his dad should brush off the top of his head, but he's grinning the whole time.]

[He reaches up and mimics Kurt's little head-brushing motion, failing to get all the glitter-snow off, but succeeding in getting it on his hand. He looks at his hand for a second, then gives a short little laugh.]

...Man. They sure are pullin' out all the stops on this Christmas thing, huh?

[He gestures to the evergreen boughs dragging themselves around.]

There's a resigned sigh; Mark hadn't been sleeping, but it is very loud.

[He brushes a little bit of glittery fake snow off of his head.]

Yeah, I know exactly how you feel on that one. At least this time it ain't so bad.

Oh, sure thing! Shit, I ain't never seen a saferoom door as fancied up as this before!

[Ellis briefly turns the hand-held feed towards his room's door, which is open and now covered with fake snow, a wreath, and little plastic cardinals on little plastic branches, with little tea-light candles all interwoven through the bars!

Turning back to himself, Ellis is seated on his racecar bed, awake and dressed for the day, though with the addition of a santa hat replacing his usual ball cap!]

Had myself near on a heart attack when I heard th'hammerin', though!
