After a rough day...

Tommy was sore and tired. He had been in the second hardest fight of his life and he was lucky to have gotten out of it without anything aside from the soreness. He could have been a lot worse off, and if it hadn't been for a last minute save form GL he probably would have ended up in the hospital. But even then he was tired as all hell, but not ( Read more... )

"Wow, can you believe it?"

Maxine flopped on his bed, fresh out of the shower and towel dried. Her hair was still damp and clung to her skin, she was bruised in a few places that showed from under her Wizard of Oz boxers and the tank top she wore.

"There were a couple moments there where I thought it was curtains for us! I mean when I got backhanded against that bank...I thought I was going to pass out. I had the wind knocked out of me, literally and figuratively! But we did it! We came together as a team and we did it! And you!"

She rolled to look at Tommy with undisguised admiration and affection. "You were brilliant."

"Thanks a lot, sweetie. It sure as hell doesn't feel like I was brilliant. Brilliant people don't get tossed around like a rag doll," Tommy said as he wrapped his arm around her. It was such a natural movement now it was hard to think they had been going out for just under a year now.

Maxine curled up to him like it was second nature. She did however, look up sharply when he down played his involvement. "If that thing could toss the entire JSA I think you can give yourself a break on that." She tipped her head back and kissed him.

After a moment she kissed him again rather more passionately to get her point across.

Oh, he takes that kiss. If there's something he will never get sick of, its her kisses. She always manages to get him right back to contentment with them. When they break off he'll have to take quite a bit of breath.

"Thanks, Max. I love how you can always make me feel better. Love you, too."

He didn't realize just quite what he said.

Just because she was ready it didn't mean she knew what to expect. On a logical level she did, she knew the clinical and anatomical facets of if she knew exactly what would happen. It was proving to be very different in practice than in study though.

His hand rested on a trembling hip, she wasn't sure if she was supposed to take her clothing off herself or if he wanted to or what the protocol was, but she was somewhat shy about details.

"Would it be ok if we got under the covers?" She would be at once covered and uncovered with him, it seemed a good compromise that made her a bit more comfortable.

"Yes. Sure. Oh, wait, also..."

Tommy jumps up really quick, testing the door and the locks. They had been walked in on enough times so that, well, with everything happening now they didn't want walk in at all.

Now...ummm. Yeah. Tommy begins to fumble with his shorts. They were standard workout shorts, comfy, not too big, but also flimsy. So they came off, only leaving behind his boxers, which did little to hide his erection. He climbed back in, although he grabbed the covers and pulled them over them.

"So...where were we?"

"Good idea."

She laughed, recalling how they'd been walked in on when they were not doing anything, she had no desire for it to happen when they were. But..oh that brought another thought.

"Umm.. "

She'd climbed into bed and waited for him to join her before she broached the subject. "Did you want a condom? I don't have any."

Or, would he take this badly? She hoped not. "I kind of thought maybe someday we might want to do this so I went to the campus medical center and got on something." She had thought of things, as was her way, it had just never been the right time before to act on those thoughts.

Tommy was a little disappointed. He did have a few in his room, but they weren't in his room. He would have to sneak up there, but the mention of the medical center meant.

"You're on the pill? Oh. Well...we could go with just that."

Mental note: It may be a good idea to keep his wallet around. He had one in there. Maybe next time.
