Charlie and his car were very close friends now. Driving around the country, dealing with the end of the world had given them plenty of time to bond and plenty of time for him to perfect his abilities. Now that it was all over, L.A. kept calling to him.

So, he pointed his car towards home and drove. And drove. And drove. There was lots of driving and then he wasn't driving anymore. He wasn't home either. Apparently his abilities weren't done with him yet. He saw the telltale signs of a monster and felt the presence of something.

He got his gun from the trunk and started following where his gut told him to go.

Dani unloaded round after round, cursing as she did so. It didn’t seem like the demon had been hit once. Something was off about this - her aim was good enough to hit a beer can from at least ten yards away. A creature this large shouldn’t have been a problem.

She crouched up long enough to try again, and then to duck back under a table. What the hell was going on?

“Crews!” She yelled, as her partner came into view. About time. “I need you to-”

Wait. What? It was stupid of her, but Dani stared at her former partner, completely at a loss.

"Hi, Reese," Charlie was mildly surprised to see his old partner staring at him but not too surprised. She had been getting into the shadows more and more just like him.

"Salt rounds don't work on that, by the way. Hang on." Charlie reached into his pocket and pulled out the pile of nails he kept there. He threw a handful onto the Fae. Where the nails landed hissed and burned, causing the beast to scream.

"Fae don't like iron," he yelled over the noise. The creature thrashed and screamed, slowly dissolving away as the iron worked through it.

Reese, conversely, was incredibly surprised. By so many things!

"There are Fae? There are Fae now. You're here. Why are you here? When did -- there are Fae now? You're here?"

She looked from Crews to the pile of what-was-Fae and back again, holding her sleeve up in front of her eyes.
