Homeward bound.

We spent two nights at Tin Can Bay. We were quite disappointed in the area, we thought it would be a lot nicer. However, we did have a nice stay, and we got to see the dolphins (see next post). We also checked out Rainbow Beach, which is the gateway to Fraser Island. The camping at Rainbow Beach is much more appealing to us than Tin Can Bay. ( Read more... )

You have posted some beautiful pics, Shelley. Tin Can Bay looks very beautiful, also your pics of jacarandas. I love the two old buildings you have got in your pics. And that last photo is very familiar, not that I go there very often, hee, hee :)

LOL - I am sure you might see "that place" fairly often! I took soooo many photos of jacarandas, it was amazing how many there were!!!!

I don't go there very often at all. Who would want to? Although the views from the hospital are very nice. Unfortunately I have to go back there next week. And will probably be seeing more of the place than I would like :(

Actually when I thought about it, I thought you probably didn't go to Nambour if you could help it - don't blame you! I am sorry you have to go to the hospital again. ****hugs****

LOL you know what's funny? My friends Kev & Sue who were travelling with us earlier in the year held Sue's 60th birthday party at Tin Can Bay. They rented a house and loads of friends & family all spent the weekend together. (Unfortunately we were too far away to get there). Well their granddaughter who is about 6 yo, kept calling it Tin Ban Cay, so that's what we all call it now.

When I look at these beautiful photos, I am suddenly reminded that you are just entering spring whereas we are just starting fall. It's jarring and awesome at the same time!

We are having the weirdest weather at the moment. Lots of rain (and I mean L.O.T.S) and while it should be getting nice & warm it's actually quite cold at times.
