Dr M

I have a friend who loses all his friends and blames them. When will he see its him, not them?

He may NEVER see its him. It is so much harder to look into yourself for faults than to look for them in others.

You can try to talk to him about it. But if you do you will probably lose him as a friend in his anger. People don't like to accept their faults. However, most people learn from their own mistakes. Eventually he may see it when he has nobody left. Unfortunately, this doesn't go for everybody. Some people refuse to accept that they messed up. I would just give him time to understand what is going on.

an answer to your question... maybe... furthur_on September 16 2003, 07:31:35 UTC
the best advice i can give you to this question is... bring it to his attention, just make sure that your respectful and tactful in the way you go about telling him... other than that theres really nothing you can do. unless he wants to open his own eyes to the errors of his own way, he'll never see his wrongs. and i know, because ive been in your place before, that this isnt what you wanted to hear, but its true. the only person who can make him see it is himself, but as a friend the best thing you can do is bring it to his attention. and cut him some slack on this one, not many people are very good at not only telling themselves that their wrong, but believing it as well. i hope i helped a little bit with what i had to say... let me know how things work out with your friend...
