I have to agree. This is rather odd, I know, but I feel bad for the wraith. It's not their fault (as far as we know) that the only thing that can actually sustain them involves in the murder of human-like/humans/whatever. It's not like we can just tell them to stop or they'll suddenly see "the light", they need it to live. Bah, I don't know. It drives me batty when thinking about it.
One of the things that bugged me most about the first couple of SGA eps was Ford talking to...that little Athosian kid whose name I can't remember. The kid's feeling all guilty that his wandering off got Ford badly injured, and Ford goes, "hey, it's not your fault. Just like when we accidentally woke up the Wraith!" And the kid unquestioningly agrees. Suuure, guys, one *kid* thoughtlessly getting one person injured is totally the same thing as a group of adults waking up a genocidal menace.
But, yes, good point about the ecological danger/implied inevitability thing. Probably they realized their heroes couldn't be *quite* so unsympathetic.

I remember going "omgwtf" at that. And since then wondering why they happily go about telling people it's all their fault at points when saying it isn't that good an idea if they want to not die.
Well, perhaps they do want to die. Considering all the sutpidity they've done in the first two seasons (I've only seen those so far), one had to suspect that they really do have a death wish.
And since TPTB keep killing out or forgetting excellent supporting characters (Markham? Stackhouse? Bates? Kavanagh? Simpson? Miko? Peter Grodin? and so on...) just to turn an ensemble show into the waggon of The Guy We're Not Speaking Of, who knows, maybe they'll get what they will.
