and I mean really, fuck anyone who thinks differently of you now. it's none of their damn business anyway. I think that you'll be surprised (or maybe not!) at the level of support that you'll get from people in general though. I can't see anyone we're mutually friends with at UNC giving you grief about it.

I lived an entire year with a girl who was homosexual and was terrified to tell her family and a huge number of her friends about who she was...and she was, and is, a miserable person.
I'm proud of you for having the courage to come out, even to just a few people. You should know well that, even though we don't talk often (and I promise I'm going to call you back, we needed to talk anyway) that I support you and I'm here for you regardless.
