Unsurprisingly, Aravis' mood had hardly improved since the ceremony. She'd taken the time to go back to her own room and change, thankful that she'd left out a few dresses in her packing

Which Cor knew quite well. So that would be why he greeted her by holding the box of chocolate he'd obtained out the door, hiding behind it.

"You know me too well," Aravis grumbled, but she was smiling a little as she took the box.

"Is it safe?" he teased, peeking from behind the door.

"Hush, you," she said, rolling her eyes and laughing as she pushed the door open a bit more, stepping in. "It was humiliating enough. Stop making me relive it."
