So, at the request, or rather, NUDGE of my friend Khadija..... I'm going to give you all an update. Not really a whole lot to go into though, I'm afraid

There will be as soon as the grass is in, and gets cut for the first time! Casey and I are hoping to have things done by labor day :) Don't know if it will work out that way or not, but that's our plan! We'll have grass, a pool, a spiffy barbecue- we used to entertain and have pool parties with family and friends a lot when I was younger... I'd like to get back to that. Good times.....
i'll bring the beer (la cervesa if you may). throw some veggie burgers on there, and i am all set. good times they are :) i can even make awesome corn on the cob...oh and kababs....and ofcourse...giant eggplant with spices.
Hooray for getting paid! Hey I keep trying to remember to tell your sis, I'm most likely [crosses her fingers] getting an internship at NG this summer- I know she had said something about wanting to work for them someday- if I get my foot in the door in the Geography field pretty good, I'll try to help her out however I can. :)
Just anything basically... Because I want to be a volcanist or a seismologist, and I want to be one of those snooty people that look down their glasses at people on the NG TV programs... :p Just trying to get my foot in the door in that world of TV journalism and all of that crap. :p
Um... Yeeeeeeeahhhhhh, duh. Did you even have to ask?
I wrote that blog when I was really tired last night. LOL I guess that was kind of obvious though. We drilled holes for 5 inch anchor bolts into the concrete block of our house. Those bolts are permenant, and are covered with white plastic sleeves so that they don't look awful. Actually, you don't even notice them from the sidewalk, unless you're specifically looking for them - I'm really pleased with how they turned out. We also drilled plywood for all of the windows. This way, if we have to board up again this year, we won't have to go through a huge hassle like we did 2-3 years ago when Florida got slammed by 4 hurricanes in 5 or 6 weeks. That sucked, majorly! Anyway, now all we have to do is slip the plywood up over the bolts, and twist on the wingnuts and we'll be good to go. Should only take an hour or two for every window in our house... That way we can focus on other prep things.
