(Franziska debates for a while before replying - should she just let well enough alone? she hasn't been too pleased with Adrian as of late, and suspects that further contact (at least at this point) might do nothing but exacerbate matters, but is determined to press on, in part to prove to herself that their miscommunication is in no way her fault.

Kind of hard to do that when they themselves follow that same practice, amirite? Adrian might notice that Franziska's response takes a little longer than anticipated; when she does reply, her voice has lost all of the indignant rage that it held before, and is now cold and impassive.)
