Leaving Los Angeles (and the detox diet)

In the last month or two, I've motivated myself to/excused myself from doing many things on the basis "I'm leaving LA, so I need to do some LA things." Please let us know how it works for you, both short- and long-term. Real-world results are far more interesting to me than all the "testimonials" provided by those with a financial interest in getting you to try it.

Don't know about the specifics of the diet you picked up, but I've noticed that, if I kick all carbs for about 3 days, cravings for them drop significantly. (But first, to make it through those 3 days....)
