Sialuk is a twenty-six year old Pro-Bending manager; she lacks the ability to bend herself, but her family hails from the Northern Water Tribe.
♖ appearance.With warm brown skin, dark hair, and bright blue eyes, Sialuk is definitely of Water Tribe descent. Her hair is long, and though at the North Pole she'd be expected to do something fancy with it--loops or braids or elaborate buns--she's most fond of simply wearing it down. She's tall and willowy, without any obvious markers of athleticism that come with long bending practice. She favors suits, especially for her most professional moments. You'll almost never catch her ringside without team colors on her scarf or a bandanna or hat, though; or, for that matter, signed merchandise in her pockets that she'd be happy to sell you. She moves very quickly and speaks only a little bit slower. (Played By: Juliet, Til Death Do Us Part)
♖ personality. Sialuk is passionate, driven, and motivated; the Mongoose Dragons are The One Thing in her life right now, and they get all of her attention. She's supremely confident, extroverted and smooth in social situations, although she's a big talker and she doesn't always notice when she's overwhelming people. (You had to speak up, and repeat yourself, and repeat yourself while shouting, to get heard in her house growing up.) She's not wholly self-interested, but she does usually need a bit of a "what's in it for me?" to put herself fully behind something. It might be well-buried more often than not, but she's got some baggage about lacking the ability to bend, and it causes her to doubt herself now and again; listening to the increasing chatter from the Equalists makes it hard to ever really bury these thoughts for long. She's definitely willing to play fast and loose with the rules or bend a little, morally, if it gets her what she wants and she judges her actions aren't "really" harmful.
♖ history. Sialuk's parents had relocated from the North Pole to Republic City by the time she was born; she may be Northern Water Tribe by blood, but the city is all she's ever known, and the city's morals and values are her own far more than what she considers strange and antiquated Northern ways of doing things. She's bracketed on either side in her family by siblings who, like their parents, turned out to be talented Waterbenders; Sialuk's lack, in comparison, was always obvious. Well, at least to her; even if her parents tried hard to make their offspring feel equal, it was hard not to see how she was different, and what she considered to be a lack. She got her start with pro-bending accompanying one of her sisters to tryouts and qualifying matches. Showing up to support her sister made her connections; advocating for her sister like a rabid Sabertooth Moose Lion got her noticed, and got her the job she holds today. It helps that she's intensely into the sport, familial and occupational interests aside.
♖ details.♖ Sialuk lives by herself in an apartment above her brother's bending school. The apartment is ostensibly hers, but that doesn't stop family members from dropping by whenever they please.
♖ "Legal" isn't necessarily the most important definition to her, and she has dealings with a few gangsters and Triad members.
