This is one of the very few remixes that actually works. Most of them, even by authors who are very good in other circumstances, have been utter disasters but this is an ideal complement to the original; building on it and taking it further without detracting from it. Excellent.

Excellent piece. I must read the original, to see the differences.

I like the dynamic of Spike holding up the proud traditions of England, teaching Buffy to bring the comforts of home to her Watcher.

I love the way we revisit the original through Buffy's eyes, enhancing Spike's role. Buffy's tea ritual was vivid and solitary, and it felt like she was missing both Giles and Spike while she was going through the actions. Nice job.
