This is Lady Cassidy. I'm told that you can leave a message for me on this device and when I receive it, I can then contact you in return. I will do my best to contact you in as timely a manner as possible.
"Cassidy, this is Hawkeye Pierce. The First Aid workshop tomorrow is going to be in my office. Office #24, second floor of the school building. The door will be open, so it's hard to miss. Come prepared with something specific you want to get out of the workshop. See you tomorrow at the bright and early hour of 2pm."
Rilla had no idea how to go about campaigning for student council, so she'd pulled out her student directory and was writing a letter to each member of the freshman class. Under Cassidy's door she would find the following note, hand written in old-fashioned script:
Dear Lady Cassidy,
I would be ever so obliged if you would vote for me as our Freshman Representative in the coming election! I believe that my perspective (as a Canadian girl from the early part of the 20th century) would bring a unique way of looking at things to the council. If you have any questions at all, I am in room 510!
"Hey Cassidy, it's Mercy. I was just thinking about our conversation and now that finals are over, if you wanted to stop by sometime I could show you how I make the spicy hot chocolate. Anyway, I'm in 524. Take care."
"Cassidy, I'll be gone for some time to help Ben with some issues that have come up."
At this point, and with his experience with Karla's reaction whenever he didn't leave messages on departure, Ender... figured it was a good thing to let her know he was gone. Before his own phone wound up drowning in angry voicemails.
"I heartily suggest not getting into any trouble while I'm gone. Also..."
He rattled off a couple of books on basic political theory - he figured she might like something to do - and then closed off with a, "Take care."
