Abby's in the retro bikini she got from the box, with her hair in a ponytail and no shoes - and she's still not sure exactly how she got talked into this. Greg had tried to convince her to do it plenty of times and she'd always found a reason not to. Greg wasn't quite as determined as the Marine next to her, though, or at least he wasn't as persistent. After awhile, it was easier to give in.

Well, that and she was living on a tropical island. She should learn how to surf.

"Greg made them. He was a California kid, so I figured he'd know how to do it right," she explained.

The bikini is...well, it's somewhat distracting, but Brad's doing his best not to let it show. They're here to surf, and surfing is totally to be taken seriously, at least at first.

"Want to try getting your balance on the board on the sand, or try straight away in the water. I'll sit on the board and help you out."

She would be more distracted by the board shorts if it wasn't pretty much exactly the same thing she'd seen him wear every time she met him. It's like he doesn't own a single shirt, which, knowing the box, is actually possible. It's weird like that.

"Um. Let's try the water. I'm not gonna dissolve if I get wet, which I inevitably will since half of learning to do anything motion-related is really learning to fall down," she decides.

"You're not gonna dissolve if you get a little wet, but you're bothered by a little sun?"

He grins, straightening up, lifting the board easily.

"Okay. We'll try with me sitting on the board and see if you a get up on your feet, okay? And you're right. You've got to learn how to fall."
