Women and girls have cute little feet which they take care of and decorate, we have big ugly hairy and sometimes smelly feet.

sorry NJ, but i have to disagree with you. sometimes a sandal is the perfect footwear for a guy, particularly if it is a warm summer weekend and you are in shorts.

A sandal is never the right footwear for a guy unless he is on the beach at the moment....or gets regular pedicures.

I think we will have to agree to disagree on this one MP. While I can see a warm summer weekend spent playing at the park as acceptable for flip flop wear, its not cool for other actions such as dinner and work.

Dinner- questionable. A lobster joint on a new england pier practically demands flip flops, or perhaps a canvas sneaker or boat shoe. I'd say any restaurant within 100 feet of the ocean (excluding in cities like NY and Boston) is fair game for flip flops. but classy ones- black, or dark earth tones. Not neon green styrofoam flip flops or worse yet, crocs.

I'm just generally against flip-flops in public anyway. They're not really made for a lot of walking. (I only wear them in the house.)
