So my company is doing this thing where they are asking you to donate teh money you woulda spent on lunch (in my case a whooping 2 dollars) to needy kids. It seems to be an admirable program and I was happy to donate my little pitence. However at the exact same time I walk by the table I notice a large box of Balduci's food for some "Big Meeting"

The only reason your company is doing that is to get PR to say how wonderful company X is.

I would donate the money on my own and be done w/ it.

i hate that crap too. what i dislike is big charities holding these crazy balls and parties at places like Cipriani (where phil works) with crazy gift bags filled with fancy stuff ect ect.

An event there is a minimum of half a mill! JUST for being there. I always get mad thinking that they could have gone somewhere else and used some of that HALF MILLION to their own cause.
