Scrawled underneath:

When I suggested we post a note I meant something like, "Going to Diagon Alley Saturday, who wants stuff?" But the formal letter works too. -Tonks

[Written upside-down on the top part of the parchment]

Socks - one blue and one orange. I shall bring you a baguette.

[Scrawled underneath Tonks' response]

Chocolate. Wizarding if you can get it. If not, a block of Cadbury will do. ~Ron

[The rest is heavily warded for Tonks' eyes only and written much neater]

Umm. Tonks? Could you pick up something nice for me to give to Hermione? I dunno... whatever you think she'd like. Girly stuff. And please keep it our secret, yeah? I'm crap at this sort of thing and Charlie would only be a complete wanker about it if he found out.

[Written in the corner of the notice in dark purple felt pen]

A bunch of kai-lan (Chinese broccoli) and some fresh ginger root would be brilliant.

Terry

Wait. Diagon Alley? Nevermind, then.

[Pinned to the letter is a map of London's Chinatown, an address pointed out in red ink]

Oh Terry's no help. Go there. Tell Mr Chang that Susan is a friend and he'll give you a really good price on produce. His kai-lan is the best I've found.

If he's got Ya Pears, I'd love some.
