Hermione shuffled her notes (yes she had notes. She'd not forgotten that part of herself) and turned in her chair to face the group of people gathered in the common area. Moody had conjured up a long executive style table for the meeting and it helped to have it, though she supposed a rounder table would have made it easier to see everyone, but this was just as good.

"The first thing would be to officially welcome Michael Corner back." She nodded once in Michael's direction. He'd been given this opportunity to join in on the meeting and seeing that he'd come back from the presumed dead... it was natural that they'd actually acknowledge that.

"A number of things stem off of this. The main, being the reason for this meeting."

"Welcome to our dysfunctional band of merry men," Ginny deadpanned, giving Michael a small smile.

"And women," she added as an afterthought.

"And don't forget me, my love. Whatever the hell I am." Charlie gave Ginny a one-armed hug from the back, kissing her hard on the temple. Standing up straight, he nodded and smiled at Tonks across the table, rolled his eyes at Hermione, and bowed slightly - with not even a trace of his usual mocking irony - to Moody before sitting down next to his sister.

"And gits," Ginny amended, smirking at her older brother as he took a seat next to her.

Neville slouched down in his chair, arms crossed across his chest. He wasn't annoyed to be there and he supposed that having a meeting like this was valuable.

Moody narrowed his eyes at Neville, who sat closest to him at his left. A small growl of irritation rumbled from the back of his throat. He didn't like his attitude, and showed his disapproval by kicking the leg of Neville's chair with his peg foot.

"Sit up straight, boy," he ordered.

Neville glanced darkly at Moody when he kicked his chair. What was the guy's problem? He was paying attention and the meeting had only just started.

After a moment Neville did sit up a little straighter though.

"Sorry Moody, must have left the donuts on the bus," she teased. "Maybe next time. What's this big important meeting about anyway?"

There were more people here than she'd expected. She grinned at Charlie and Ginny. Charlie had been away from the Order for far too long and it had been too long since Ginny had a big brother around.

Seeing Michael there was surprising. "Wotcher Corner. Nice to have you back - we thought you were gone for good."

Michael inclined his head toward Hermione when she introduced him to the group. He'd chosen a strategic spot when he'd seated himself at the long table, and made sure to make eye contact with everyone before flipping open the notebook in front of him to take his own set of notes.

Old habits die hard and all that...

With a glance through his overly-long fringe, he returned Ginny's greeting with a bit of a knowing smile.

Moody paused to let the chatter die down before continuing.

"Right. First of all, and most important, we need to find a new Headquarters. If this man Corner," he motioned toward Michael, "can figure out where we're at, it'll be pretty simple for the Enemy to do the same. I can't believe they haven't come down on our arses already.

"We don't have many options. Grimmauld Place is out. Considered Fenwick's old house, but we found out that it had been destroyed. Anybody have a suggestion?"

"I'd offer up the my Mum's old home, if I could," Ginny spoke up, her brow furrowing.

"But I think that's unusable, as well, if it's still standing at all. That's where Uncle Gideon and Uncle Fabian were attacked, wasn't it? So of course it was damaged in the fight." She looked to Moody for confirmation that she had her facts right.

"I remember Mum saying once she wished she could have fixed it up, but it would have cost too much. We're not exactly rolling in galleons here. We need some place that's still in somewhat good shape."

"I'm fucking tired of fixer uppers," Moody grumbled. "Aye, the Prewitt house has been left abandoned longer than Grimmauld Place was. I doubt it would be inhabitable."

He frowned with the memory of the Fabian brothers' deaths. They were good men. At least they died as heroes, taking a number of Death Eaters down with them before they fell themselves.
