When Morgana opens her eyes the first thing she sees is the worried face of Morgause. Then she hears Mordred voice in her head.

You are awake!He sounds happy and angry and it’s all too much for her. She drifts back to sleep

I believe that Morgana is desperate and not a bad guy, but she doesn’t have many options. Unlike Merlin, she doesn’t have anyone to go to. And Uther…well, you know Uther :)
