Summary: Gerard’s tie is missing.
Dedication: To Eliza, Because she got to meet them and nobody cared.
Frank walked into the Algebra classroom and mumbled a hurried, “Sorry,” to his teacher before moving to take his seat.
“Where have you been?” Mrs Jones accosted him, “Straighten that tie and for the Lord’s sake, fix up your shirt.”
Frankie smirked at the memory of where he had been while doing what he was told and taking his usual seat at the back.
“Psst,” Ray whispered from beside Frank to get his attention, “You don’t usually wear a tie.. Where’d it come from?”
Frankie just smirked again and got out last night’s homework.
Across the school, in the English block, a similar scene was happening in Mr Abell’s room.
“Mr Way, you are the last person I expected to be late to class. And where is that lovely tie you always wear?”
Gerard shrugged and said, “Sorry, couldn’t find it this morning, must be in the wash or something.” He sat down as told to and thought about where his tie was at that moment.
