He hadn't expected to be followed. It was possible that he'd forgotten he was in bed with someone at all when he'd left. Last night was even hazy. Lelouch standing there getting wet was not something that improved his mood, but he managed to maintain an absolutely pristine mask. He would not lose control again, even for a smaller matter.

"I apologize." His tone was as empty as the look he was wearing. Stepping closer, he held the umbrella out to the other. "Here; go back home. Get some sleep." It seemed the question had been completely ignored.

The umbrella was tipped back again when Lelouch refused it. Though he tried keeping it over the two of them for as long as the other wanted to be out here. He should have guessed that this wasn't going to be as easy as a plain dismissal.

He needed to at least try being truthful despite still not showing any outward emotion. "Going back won't mean I'll go back to sleep. And you should, at least." He couldn't really believe that if he wandered aimlessly around the residence that Lelouch would be able to sleep knowing so.
