Sia had been here all of a couple weeks, and she'd been woefully underprepared for the idea that she might turn into a pony. That, believe it or not, had not made it into the brochure

Juliet was seated on her bed, trying to paint the tips of her hooves red with a nailpolish brush held in her mouth. She was having a surprising amount of success.
She shifted the brush to the corner of her mouth to talk. "You look pretty," she offered. "For a pony."
"MMMMphthmffnnnn---" Okay, Juliet couldn't talk with the polish brush in her mouth. She grimaced a bit as she shifted it to the side again. "Because the island does this sometimes," she said. "It also likes to make us little kids. Or boys. And one time I was a puppy."
Turning into a boy or a puppy was going to have to wait for what Sia decided was the more important part of what she'd just heard. "Days?" she repeated. "I refuse to be like this for a few days."
So, Britta wasn't exactly too pleased about the pony thing herself, but she figured this might be a good time to make sure she was doing her Big Sibling duties once she figured out that it was definitely a Fandom thing and not a Britta Got Some Really Bad Drugs This Week thing.
Figuring out doors, now that was fun. As well as going down the stairs, but she eventually made it and was glad to see the door open so she could just poke her head in and inquire, "Sia? You here? How're you doing?"
"Well," Sia said, speaking in her best 'someone will die for this' voice. "I appear to be a pony today. Possibly for a few days. I'd ask how you think I'm doing but clearly you know from experience."
"Actually?" Britta admitted, coming in with a doubtful look on her newly acquired equine face. "This is the first time anything like this has actually happened to me. I mean, sure, there's been gremlin bites, but this is different because it's an actual change and not just me thinking it's a change, because that happens a lot. I...think it goes away?"
Luckily Sia's roommate was more used to this sort of thing. "Juliet says it usually goes away in a couple of days. Such as turning into children or boys."
Force help everyone if Sia was a prince instead of a princess. Changing species spontaneously was one thing, but she had her limits.

"Thank you. And why exactly are we ponies?" Maybe it was an obvious question...
